About the ADP Diving Leadership Program

Leadership training through the Florida State University Academic Diving Program allows advanced level divers to become YMCA-certified SCUBA instructors. The instructor certifications include Divemaster, Assistant Instructor, and Instructor. Information about these levels can be found on the YMCA website.

Anyone interested in entering the ADP Diving Leadership Program must be an approved diver in the Academic Diving Program. Requirements for becoming an approved diver are outlined here: http://www.marinelab.fsu.edu/adp/diving_at_fsu.html

Candidates for the ADP Diving Leadership Program are required to complete the following FSU forms:
ADP Application for Leadership Program
ADP Diver Resume
Disabilities Reporting Form
DIVING MEDICAL HISTORY

Each candidate is required to have a DIVING MEDICAL EXAM (to be filled out by physician). The physical may be completed at the Thagard Student Health Center. The cost of this exam is the responsibility of the diver.
