RESEARCH AND PROFESSIONAL INTERESTS

I'm interested generally in fisheries management in the Gulf of Mexico, specifically the shallow-water groupers. I think that management in general and fisheries models in particular can be improved with a deeper understanding of fish life history and by investigating the linkages and impacts that grouper have on the reef communities they inhabit. I am also interested in the connectivity of the grouper stocks both between the Gulf of Mexico and the Atlantic, and between spawning and settlement.
