New Faces at the FSU Coastal & Marine Laboratory
The Faculty and Staff of the FSUCML welcome a number of new people to the laboratory, including a new associate director, one new faculty member, and two post docs. Dr. Todd Engstrom, Associate Director, will be heading up the education and outreach programs at the laboratory, as well as having oversight over the day to day operations of the facility. Dr. Dean Grubbs is the first new faculty member. His research interests center on shark ecology, and he is an excellent naturalist with a special interest in herpetology. Dr. Laura Petes, a recent Ph. D. from Oregon State University, is a post doc working on the stress effects on oysters of changes in salinity. Dr. Chris Stallings, also a recent Ph. D. from Oregon State University, will be working on grouper ecology and behavior.
